“Growing up whenever my friends had problems they’d always come talk to me, ask me for advice and I’d always try to help my friends and make sure everyone was good. But then whenever I had problems no one was there to listen to me. I never had anyone to talk to about my problems. So that’s where music comes in. I can express myself and kinda get things off my chest through music.”  Dan Sadowick aka DOWNTOWNDAN is an Edmonton based producer who I’ve actually grown up with for over a decade. I LOVE his music. It's atmospheric, sometimes moody and great to vibe with driving down a rainy highway at night. He’s probably one of my favourite artists that I know personally. He’s really cool and we talked about things like how music keeps him out of trouble, how a random circumstance got him flagged for a year by the Gang-Squad Police, & his relationship with Nate Le.
