The Heat blew a 19-point 3rd quarter lead to the New York Knicks, falling 116-112 in overtime at home. Up by four points with a minute remaining in the game, the Heat allowed the Knicks to score four straight to force OT on OG Anunoby’s tip-in and Derek Brunson’s jumper. The Heat scored 62 points in the first half before the Knicks cranked up the defensive intensity and held them to just 50 points in the 2nd half and OT. Brunson scored 31 points after being held to just 5 in the 1st half. Anunoby added 23 points and Karl Anthony Towns had 19 points and 16 rebounds for the Knicks, who are now 5-0 in overtime and have won three straight. Brunson’s 3-pointer with 2:27 remaining in overtime 7-0 started a 7-0 run that put New York ahead for good at 111-110. The Heat cut it to 114-112 when Alec Burke nailed a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left, Bam Adebayo led Miami with 30 points.
