Last year, in 2010, a survey released by the National Retail Federation showed that Mother's Day was the second largest U.S. consumer spending holiday.  Although it has pagan roots, many Christians have embraced Mother's Day as a time to show love and appreciation .  Billions of dollars will be spent on gifts, flowers and edibles by many in honor of mothers worldwide, but what does the Bible say about honoring our mothers.  Is Mother's Day a vain tradition of man?  Why and how were mothers honored according to the Bible?  Join us as we search the scriptures for answers to these questions and more.
