If this discussion were of a policeman, courier or any number of jobs typically associated with “working the streets” the fact the individual working the streets is 52 years old would carry no shock value.  In fact, the age factor or the profession would hardly merit a conversation.  But this profession has been called the oldest profession.  This profession is prostitution and a 52 year old woman is still working in the streets as a prostitute.  Whether you personally condone or condemn prostitution you’ve got to be at least little surprised and perhaps fascinated by the fact that this 52 year old woman is still actively selling her body to perform sexual acts from the street.  You’d think long before this age a prostitute has move on to other work.  Is the fact that she is still actively selling her body a sign of the times?  Is this some rare occurrence or the beginning of a trend?  What are the deepest most critical issues to consider regarding the “World’s Oldest Profession”?
