On October 31 in the year 1517 a German Monk by the name of Martin Luther penned his now famous 95 thesis and nailed them to doors of the Church. This document was a blistering attack on the corruptions of the Vatican, and the outlandish excess of the current Pope. Rome responded by labeling Luther as a Heretic and excommunicating him from the Catholic Church. But this response was too little too late.
