She was grateful and said that while many others know her situation, nobody else has offered help. This shocks and saddens me. We’re supposed to be the church and this is where I think “how can this happen”, “we should all be more willing to be involved in each other’s lives”… BUT I recognize this is easy for me to say because I’m an extrovert, I love the idea of close-knit community, I’m willing to disrupt our family rhythms for the sake of helping someone, that's my image of honouring christ. What about people who aren’t like me though? I want to tell others to follow my example and love others by giving up their time to show love to each other
