For the first time at Citi Field, the New York Mets were able to clinch a postseason series. Francisco Lindor delivered the go-ahead grand slam in the 6th inning and the Mets defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-1. The Mets missed opportunities early, but got a good start from Jose Quintana that kept them in the game until the bats delivered late.
