Sandy and Steven Lieberman, co-founders of the Artemis Defense Institute, combined their distinct passions and expertise to create a unique training institution. After their eldest child went to college in 2011, Sandy transitioned from her academic coaching business to focus on educating people in new ways. Meanwhile, Steven, dissatisfied with his corporate counsel role, sought to merge his lifelong passion for guns and hunting with his professional skills. They discovered a video-based simulation training system used by law enforcement and saw potential for civilian training.
