In this South Seas story, our protagonist befriends an island man named Otoo and they become3 inseparable for years . Otoo becomes a stalwart protector and invaluable business asset and the two experience all kinds of danger as well as success. They become blood brothers, and, as the island custom dictates, they trade names. In the reviews I answer a listener's concern that Jack London became an avowed socialist in his later writing years.
