He's been lifting since he was 10, lifting in his first powerlifting meet at 20, totaling 1482 pounds at 176. John went on to win IPF Open Worlds in 2016 at 23 and set the then 83kg all-time world record total of 813kgs. He switched over to the untested side and has set many world records, including an all-time total at 181, 198, and 220 raw.
