Today on the podcast I talk about the hard work that comes with change. It’s fall and the right season for change, shift and new beginnings. I am still in the thick of transition as you might know if you have been following this podcast. In this episode I talk about how we often wish that what God asks us to do is magically easy and doesn’t require any effort. But the truth is, sometimes doing life is just hard and not fun. With change comes hard work, adjustment and a different way of thinking, a process. The acknowledgment of it being hard does not make us weak but normal and human. It’s not a definition of our purpose but a reality. I love Psalm 90:17 in the Passion Translation, it says “O Lord, our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us and give us favor. Come work with us, and then our works will endure. And give us success in all we do!” We want favor not just our own effort. We want to come and have God’s sweet beauty resting upon us.
