About This Episode: Johnny Damon is an American former professional baseball outfielder who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1995 to 2012. During his MLB career, Damon played for the Kansas City Royals (1995–2000), Oakland Athletics (2001), Boston Red Sox (2002–2005), New York Yankees (2006–2009), Detroit Tigers (2010), Tampa Bay Rays (2011) and Cleveland Indians (2012). Damon also played for the Thailand national baseball team and was a member of the squad for the 2013 World Baseball Classic qualifiers. Johnny was a member of the 2004 Red Sox team that broke “The Curse of the Bambino,” bringing Boston its first World Series Since 1918. Johnny also won a World Series in 2009 with the New York Yankees, making him one of only 11 players to achieve that, he joined Babe Ruth as the only 2 starting players to achieve that.
