In this episode of Serial Streamers, Jami recaps the Lifetime docuseries The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. In 2016, Gypsy Rose was convicted of second degree murder for plotting and helping to carry out the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, who allegedly abused Gypsy Rose and suffered from munchausen syndrome by proxy. Gypsy Rose was paroled in January of 2024 and has been documenting her post-prison life on social media since then. Some people believe Gypsy Rose is a master manipulator who shouldn’t be celebrated, but others believe she committed murder in order to save herself from her abusive mother.
