Baxie's Musical Podcast: Lincoln Bloomfield from Kelakos

Informações:

Sinopsis

Baxie talks to former Assistant Secretary of State, Lincoln Bloomfield. Before becoming a US diplomat, Lincoln Bloomfield was the bass player for the Boston-area rock band, Kelakos. In 1978, Kelakos released their first album, "Gone are the Days". But is spite of the album's positive reviews, the band disbanded. In 2015, the master tapes of those recordings fell back into the hands of Lincoln Bloomfield. Those recordings were soon re-issued under the title, "Kelakos Uncorked: Rare Tracks from a Vintage 70's Rock Band". This year, Kelakos released their first album of new material in nearly 45 years, "Hurtling Towards Extinction". Lincoln talks about the album, the band, about the band he formed with former Steely Dan/Doobie Bros. guitar player Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, and about his fascinating career in Washington. It's an amazing story! Listen on Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, Spotify, and on the Rock102 website!
