The book is an incredibly ambitious story of the complicated history and culture of one of America's most misunderstood cities--Cleveland, Ohio. It's also a story about one of Cleveland's most influential and iconic figures--the late Peter Laughner of the band Pere Ubu. Until now, Laughner's life and legacy has gone largely underrecognized. However, he is responsible for creating some of the greatest anthems in American Punk Rock history! And Aaron's Lange's book does an amazing job connecting Laughner's life to city from where he came.
