Carterton's new mayor says a missing woman believed to be linked to suspicious fires is adding to the community's unease. Police are still looking for 47-year-old Maya Moore in relation to multiple fires in South Wairarapa this morning. Incoming mayor Ron Mark says he was alerted to the fires in the early hours of this morning. He says people living in rural New Zealand might already be isolated and cut off from help, and that incidents like this will only add to people's feelings of insecurity and fear.
