Nearly 350 people are facing more than two-thousand charges in relation to youth offending across Waikato and Auckland. Police are cracking down on recidivist offenders by opposing bail for some. Assistant Police Commissioner Richard Chambers says the average age of those involved, is 15. Chambers says their motivation continues to be money, peer pressure and social media notoriety.
