Australian PM Anthony Albanese met with Chris Hipkins on the first overseas trip the new Prime Minister took. The two held a press conference after the meeting and Anthony Albanese stated that he was confident in the new changes made to the 501 policy. Albanese also stated that Australia "retained Section 501, deportation, the capacity to cancel visas and remove people who pose a risk to the community."
