Even Chris Hipkins may not have known much about Ginny Andersen before her recent appointment. Chris Hipkins said that Ginny Andersen would be suitable to take over as Police Minister because of her decade of experience working with the police. ZB's senior political correspondent Barry Soper observed that Hipkins was unaware of what Ginny Andersen actually did for the police.
