Sinopsis
Clara Martin medically retired from the US Army with PTSD from military sexual trauma, and chronic migraines. She went to work as a peer counselor/victim advocate at a local nonprofit, and decided that she absolutely didn’t need therapy. Nine months later, after suffering a psychotic breakdown and being 5150’d by her concerned mother and brother, Clara realized that was probably not the best decision she’d ever made. The recovery process was a long and arduous one, aided by an incredibly supportive family and community of friends, a fantastic therapist and psychiatrist, volunteer work in disaster relief with Team Rubicon and on crisis hotlines, and writing - three books are available on Amazon here, and she writes a weekly blog here, and just finished her first graduate course in clinical mental health counseling. In This EpisodeClara’s BooksClara’s BlogThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5739761/adver
