Chaos is an archetype that was a massive problem in G era due to the abundance of locking-from-hand available to the player (which James was a fan of, hence why he's here today), which caused Bushiroad to make unlocking mechanics almost too plentiful to compensate. In V series, it seemed like they didn't want to let the player lock the opponent at first, but it seems that idea has been rescinded.
