Obscure Terminus

Hello listeners. My apologies for the delay in delivering this podcast to you. We’ve been in the middle of a white out here in my town of Red Falls. The weight of this storm is pressing down hard and my internet connection comes and goes. I recorded this podcast before the last outage and haven’t been able to upload it until now. I don’t know. This storm has been surreal. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this cut off before. It’s funny saying that. Wireless communication is a staple in peoples lives these days and getting cut off has had this effect. The feeling of almost complete isolation. I was only offline for a few days, but it felt like so much longer. That, and the white out conditions amplified this feeling of isolation. I don’t live in a very big neighborhood, but when it’s completely silent, and you can’t even hear cars or people, and all you have iis the sound of your breathing…you appreciate things a little more.
