It may have seemed like only a matter of time, but Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, have become the latest social networking site to launch a subscription service. Owner Mark Zuckerberg announced the paid service will launch in the coming weeks with users gaining verification, better access to customer service and other benefits as a result. Jess Kelly, Newstalk's tech correspondent and host of 'Tech Talk' joined Dermot and Dave to explain why the company are taking this step, and what it'll mean to listeners.
