In 2009, Dominick's grocery chain took out an ad in Sports Illustrated congratulating Michael Jordan on his introduction into the Hall of Fame, offering $2 off select steaks in honor of the 6 time NBA champion. Nearly six years later, Dominick's and MJ settled a 8.9 million dollar lawsuit over the ad that left the grocery store bankrupt.
