Clinton's Core Classics

To address the elephant in the room, this episode doesn't pick up where we left off, which is a shame because I recall it being quite a blast.  The party heads to Thistletop and finds the bridge has been re-trapped, that is they found out when Reetin attempted to cross first.  After a short time discussing how to cross, the players decide to let the goblins solve it for them.  They waited in ambush for a gang of goblins to come back out, and managed to do some successful stealthing and took them out before anyone was any the wiser - one of many instances of "Sam Fishering" the party will be encouraged to do.  They managed to stealthily infiltrate the lower levels of the keep, avoiding goblin backups patrolling the corridors, met a room filled with ripnuggets harem and caged infant goblins, got caught and proceeded to lie to a giant bugbear mercenary that we were the newest recruits of Nualia's cult, and fought some fearsome foe (known as a Tentamort) which managed to stab Vrasken a whole b

The party slays some eldritch creatures called Sin Spawn which were inhabiting the catacombs found under the smuggling tunnels from the Sandpoint Glassworks.  Before moving on to the Thistletop threat, the party needs to cull the evil still present within Sandpoint itself. Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to another installment of Rise of the Runelords.  In this episode, the Cleric continues his Bad-Cop interrogation of Tsuto, and gathers some information.  The brains behind the recent goblin raid was in fact Nualia Tobyn, a lady whom until recently was thought to be dead.  Not only does the party learn of a planned second raid, but we also learn that she has reinforcements including goblin tribes, mercenaries and fiendish demons.  If the players are to secure the safety of Sandpoint, they will have to go to the Thisletop Ruins to deal with her forces.  Before that, however, the party needs to make sure that the smuggling tunnels beneath the Glassworks are free of Goblin threat - or whatever may be lurking in the dark...
