    01/06/2019 Duración: 23min

So if you haven't already listened to that one, DO IT! I had my family listen recently to two different podcasts recently, all of us together, with plans to listen to the third. It's great to be able to listen with someone else, take notes, and then discuss. That's what we did, one on a car trip, one in our family room. All are linked below for easy listening. Fist Bump episode #7 on Anxiety and Perfectionism with Leigh Germann, she is a therapist and Oprah's Super Soul Podcast: Michael Singer-- Free Yourself from Negative Thoughts Overcoming Anxiety by Brooke Castillo (this is the one we haven't listened to altogether yet, but I listened solo and really want them to hear). • #012 Survivors Guilt

    17/05/2019 Duración: 25min

Surviving childhood leukemia brought on a great deal of survivors guilt for Jamie. She felt like a disappointment, uncertain why she survived when she had known so many other cancer patients that she adored, who weren't so lucky. She was bullied in high school, felt angry towards her parents, and just didn't understand why she was so special to have survived. She speaks of her suicide attempts, wanting to quiet the voices in her head. As an adult, and coming through on the other side, she travels around teaching youth about the importance of talking to someone when they are in these dark places.  I was happy to hear her weigh in on Affirmations, because it's a HOT TOPIC right now. She spoke about the power behind the positive words we speak, when we start to believe them. Find Jamie at @SurvivingTheBubble on Instagram Head to the AMAZON store to support this podcast!

  • #010 The Path to Self Discovery

    03/05/2019 Duración: 23min

"Writing regularly is the path to self discovery." My husband gave me a gift last year with this quote attached, and I have thought about it over and over since then. As a teenager, I was an avid journal writer, and looking back, I truly believe that because I wrote so much about my day, my friends, my feelings, my frustrations, that I developed a good healthy dose of self confidence and awareness. I really got to know and understand myself, and that has really benefitted me in my life. Come listen to my thoughts on this, and since it's episode TEN, I've issued a challenge that I'd love your help with and a reward for joining in! Make sure you are following @FistBump.Podcast on Instagram! I loaded the AMAZON STORE with a few cute journals and I encourage you to also check out SIMPLY FORTIFY for some really nice journals.
