Eagle-eared listeners will remember way back when we discussed Forgotten Freshness Vol. 2 that we really dug the track "Dog Beats" towards the end. It was fun to hear something that was almost entirely different than what we'd heard from Violent J & Shaggy 2 Dope up to that point. But why leave that as some freshness meant to be forgotten? On "Down With The Clown", Shaggy 2 Dope declares that "this one goes out to the ninjas that's been down since Carnival Of Carnage". He proceeds to correct himself by then saying it's for those who have been down since Dog Beats. And then he mentions some other random album before Dog Beats, stating it's for the people who allegedly started listen upon THAT album's release. Well, we decided to continue our trip to the past and search for that hallowed record. Juggalo Judgment has been going on for nearly 3 years. Kudos to Blaze for not releasing something every single year, waiting just long enough for the Juggalos to ask "WHEN THE FUCK IS BLAZE GONNA DROP SOME NEW SHIT?". Well in 2007, everybody's favorite shotgun-wielding dead man returned. We enjoyed quite a bit of Blaze's last record with 2004's Colton Grundy, but what else could Blaze offer us? 2007 was a solid year for the Wicked Clowns. With Mike E. Clark returning to Psychopathic Records, spirits had to be high. The Tempest certainly had people talking, but there was still a little more to explore in that saga. So at the 2007 Gathering Of The Juggalos, ICP gave fans 1 last look at what was created during those Tempest sessions. With a small helping of outtakes, Juggalos were seemingly divided at the new EP, similarly how they felt about The Tempest and the 1st part of this stormy trilogy, The Calm.
