As the country marks the first anniversary of the Insurrection on January 6th, Tommy chats with Winston Pingeon, a former member of the Capitol Police. Winston was at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and fought for hours with his fellow officers. He was injured by physical violence and sprayed with what he described as bear and pepper spray. In the months after January 6th, he started painting to tell his story and to heal. Listen to his journey through art. She was known as the "female Al Capone." Odessa Madre is a mysterious figure in DC history who ran gambling, bootlegging and other illegal activities. Madre's empire spanned decades and a new documentary tells the story of a complex woman. "She was a woman who was not welcomed in society because of how she looked because of her sexual orientation and she said, "you know what? I'm going to be successful and live life on my terms the way I want to." And she was unapologetic."
