Sinopsis
That's BS is a long-form discussion podcast where I (and usually three friends) cover topics in philosophy, politics, and science. Many episodes will review and discuss a philosophy essay, science article, or political video. When possible, I try to get a guest. This isn't a very formal podcast, but we try to keep the conversations high-level in nature and sprinkle in humor where inappropriate. ALSO, we have a YouTube channel where we post shorter videos as well as the video analogs of all podcasts: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD1RiH1j-M6C59z1upPXkWw

14/01/2019 Duración: 01h27minAll of us got together to joke around and argue over who to kill in MIT's driver-less car AI test. At the end we also discuss some differences with ethical systems and what we think of the main four. We record these conversation because we can't think of a more important way to expose bad ideas and promote good ones. Plus we're bored a lot and don't have that many friends. 14/01/2019 Duración: 01h22minTeddy and Jordan map out the entirety of Dr. Jordan Peterson's first lecture, entitled 'Reality and the Sacred' and discuss whether we think his arguments are legitimate. #2 - Kids in Our Closets (Nativism vs Empiricism)
14/01/2019 Duración: 54minTeddy and Jordan sit down and discuss the disagreement between nativism and empiricism, and use some strange thought experiments to validate their intuitions. Between making inappropriate jokes, they stumble to a conclusion that nativism doesn’t make much sense, but want to hear from any listeners that disagree. #1 - On Bullshit and The Chilling Effect
13/01/2019 Duración: 01h10minThe First Episode of the New Podcast! Hosts Jordan and Adam discuss Dr. Harry Frankfurt’s book, On Bullshit and how it relates to the name of our show. Then the discussion moves to The Chilling Effect, its consequences and severity, and what – if anything – can be done to combat it. We’d appreciate a bit of leniency since it is our first episode, after all. But we greatly appreciate the view and hope you enjoy it!
