The Polished Lens

I have learnt that only an evaluated experience truly teaches us wisdom. This is why Shaped by Seasons is a special one to mark my birthday in a few days. On this episode I share major life lessons that have helped shape my perception about living wisely. Behind each lesson is a story, an experience from each decade / season that have gifted me with growth, to live more intentionally and be better prepared for opportunities.

In most traditional leadership settings, critical decisions are not taken in isolation by the sole head. It always involves input from a circle of leaders. In this episode, I challenge us to look into the benefits of properly incorporating this set up in our lives. The set up of a "Circle of Counsel". The counsel you surround yourself with will determine the quality of decisions you take and on the long term how far you go. Who makes up your circle?

I actually got my lens polished with an experience recently. I became more aware that to every response or reaction we have to a situation or person, there is a driver that we cannot see at work. That driver is also the reason behind how we handle the idea / concept of failure. I'll be sharing how I handled the situation when it occurred and why it is important to see failure correctly.

Indeed, your network is strongly tied to your net-worth. But who makes up your network? Have you been deliberate to diversify those in this circle so you can enjoy variety and extras to your own experiences and knowledge? On this episode I share an experience that reinforced this concept.
