Depending on God for your every day is difficult. It is easy to be offended by Jesus' claim that He is life especially when things don’t go well. John 6: 52-71 reminds us that Jesus is the faithful one in our story and He will strengthen us to live life and continue in Him when we're struggling.

Suffering is the reality of the human condition. It leaves us with questions of where was God and what was He up to. Did God have a purpose in the pain? Was this pain the result of my failure? Lies from the enemy keep us from running to Jesus. Lies about our worth, our significance and if God even cares. But these are just that - lies. The truth is that God's eternal plan was to unite Himself to His bride, the church, to display His manifold wisdom to the angels in Heaven. God has brought together a wide and diverse group of people to create the church. The body of Christ which is a collection of wonderfully unique people – living stones – that have been fitted together to form the temple of the Holy Spirit, a dwelling place for God, Himself. The last few days have been unprecedented. There were a couple of days there where everything seemed to be cancelled – sporting events, schools, conferences, concerts, etc. The stock market has crashed down to 1980 levels, and some people’s retirements and investments have been wiped out. recently we have been hearing words of a pandemic, global outbreak, infectious disease, mortality rate. It is natural that we would begin to experience feelings of fear with all the news reports and social media attention. So what can our response be? Pastor Ross reminds us what our Father has given to us - a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind.
