"If I just had a little bit more money, if I lost a little bit more weight, if my wife just listened a little bit better, then I'd be happy." We all have something. Joe Coffey | John 2:1-11 tells the often referenced story of Jesus surprising guests at a wedding by turning water into wine. This surprises many people, because it may seem odd that the first miracle Jesus ever performed publicly was turning one beverage into another. In contrast, during Jesus' lifetime he was accused of many things, but never of being judgemental. Nobody wants to admit that they have a habit of judging others, but with such a stark contrast between how the world views us and how Jesus lived, something must change. In verses 18-33, Paul asks the recipients of his letter to walk in love before specifically addressing how marriage between two believers ought to look in light of the Gospel.
