Asking for help is part of God's work in your life. What do you need help with that you're not addressing? Who can you ask that you're not asking?

Do the people you talk with know the work of God in your life/your faith journey? Only you can tell your story: The story of your highs, your lows, and how God has been around for it all. It might feel uncomfortable to be vulnerable with your story, but it could be life-changing for you and all who might hear.

When you pick a fight, you lean into the relationships and things in the world that are less than you wish they are. Vibrant relationships and real life are on the other side of awkward.

Having a "safe life" actually leads to having a small life. When you step back from awkward you are stepping back from the possibility of making a difference by being used by God to change lives. So, is the story of your life settling for things as they are or seizing the opportunity to raise your hand?

Failure is inevitable. Forward is a choice. The stories of King David and King Solomon paint a picture of what this looks like in vivid detail.

Your friendships determine your future. So, who are the people with whom you are connecting in relationships where truth meets life?

A church who is outward, and cares about people far from God, believes: Lost People matter uniquely to God. Their separation from Jesus drives us. We regularly sacrifice for those who are not part of our church. We plant churches.

Jesus invited His first followers to drop everything and follow Him... even before they believed He was God. We can learn to pattern our lives by following the example of Peter in his willingness to serve no matter the cost.

Following Jesus is extraordinarily relational. By taking the time to listen to what God might be trying to say, you can find the gaps between life as you know it and the life that Jesus lived.

What goes around often comes around. The powerless often find themselves in a position of power and the people who hurt us may someday need us. In the moments when we’ve got those people right where we want ‘em, what we say will say as much about us as anything else. If our words are stones, will we choose to throw them, or use them to pave the way forward?

Our big mouths can be destructive, but they also have the power to build others up. What we say can impact the quality, and even the direction, of the lives of the people around us. How can we use this power for good?

Like a small spark that has the potential to scorch an entire green forest, our tongues are untamable, with the power to control our whole bodies. We have a tool that can be used to build up those around us or tear them down in just a few words. What do we do with that kind of power? We can’t lock it away. But we can learn to control it.

We all know what it’s like to be hurt by someone who just couldn’t listen long enough to understand us. Maybe in their attempt to be right, they damaged a relationship that could have been saved with a little patience and curiosity. You’ve probably been on the other side of that coin too. Taking the verbal offense may have won the argument but you lost relationally. What if we didn’t settle for being right, but tried to make things right instead? The longer we listen the more we learn, and the better chance we have of protecting ourselves from our own big mouths.

Money is a practical part of life. When we give together, we invest in life change.

Hope changes the trajectory of everything. What is your hope anchored in?

A Church is one body but many parts. What part can you play in restoring together?

Good News: You can understand a confusing or surprising passage of Scripture. Good News: Don't draw lines on gender, but do on behavior. Good News: You are part of something bigger than you.

The Good News for Bad Christians... Followers of Jesus have a clear posture: Rarely a victim. Always an advocate.
