techno/house/electronica/dubbookings >> chicanolive@gmail.comBIO > (spanish below)Born in Spain and musically raised in London, ChicanoLive! has learnt night after night all of the secrets that involves the underground London scene, not only he is a respected dj for his intelligently crafted sets but also he organize, design and promotes his own events.In 2003 he moved to London, where a big transition in dance music was taking place, minimal-house and techno were becoming very influential at the time and he was hugely impressed by the amount of music that the industry was putting on his hands, being then able to set an style and define the line and sound that today got him in between house, techno, dub and electronica, all with a pinch of cutting edge, irreverent, hypnotic and deep approach.In 2004 he started to develop his skills with AbletonLive, dividing since then his performance style in two ways: the Liveset and the Djset, allowing him to adapt himself to the many different venues where you can see him perform; from a warehouse to a laptop based festival, from a club to a rave, on a boat, private beach or even on a rooftop, always respecting one rule: high quality music that has been studied throughout before to get the most of each track.He is founder and resident of the label and producers showcase Bread & Butter London, together with Julius [Presslab], they have brought to a vibrant and intimate level guest such as Italoboyz [get physical], Audiofly [get physical], Giles Smith [secretsundaze], Justin Drake [peacedivision], , Shur I Kan [freerange], King Roc [twoarmadillos], Kamishake [yoshitoshi], Rob Melo [disco45] to name but a few, also the party holds a bi-monthly residency at legendary club night Underground Resistance in Ministry of Sound since 2008.In July 2009 he moves to Tokyo, where he has continue developing his productions and create a new project called KiiroMusicShow, together with legendary canadian producer Rennie Foster [rebirth/fcom] and visual artist Ventoline, showcasing Japanese local promises in an limited space of 100 listeners at a time.Since 2010 he is based back in Europe, where he has continue to grow his vinyl collection to a sick level. Right now he is immersed in PequeñoClub and the Food&Sound project, both bringing music and club culture to isolated areas of Spain.Chef, dj, productor, remezclador y promotor desde los 16 años, su periplo musical abarca casi los 20 años de experiencia: Bread&ButterLondon en Londres, KiiroMusicShow y JapanMusicWeek en Tokyo, por último Pequeñoclub y mas recientemente Food&Sound en España han hecho que su evolución vaya a la par de las tendencias más actuales, bebiendo de maestros que le han obligado a mantener un nivel alto en todas sus acciones.Incansable investigador de nuevos y no tan nuevos sonidos, su alter ego musical se especializa en House, Techno y cultura de club. Debutó en la seminal Ministry of Sound de Londres con 26 años en una residencia mensual junto con el sello UndergroundResistance y no es raro verlo sacar provecho de su infame colección de vinilos en espacios que no siempre son los arquetípicos clubes, llevando el concepto Dj a espacios como el Royal Academy of Arts, museos, barcos, squats, fábricas abandonadas, playas, hostales, parques y no siempre en el contexto electrónico, sino explorando el djing con estilos tan dispares como pueden ser flamenco, música clásica contemporánea, ambient, bass, dub, hip-hop o músicas del mundo, por nombrar algunos ejemplos.
