  • The Malliard Party

    02/12/2020 Duración: 01h00s

12012020It has been over a month since the American Presidential Election has taken place and we still await an “official” answer on who will be the next individual to take the seat. Lawsuits from several states are being drawn up for a multitude of different reasons, and even now (at the point of this writing) the state of Texas is currently suing other states for not acting fast enough. Alleged voter fraud, ballot harvesting, counting issues and so much more. While this draws people into so many different directions, teams, viewpoints, and the waters are continually muddied, one thing has been made very clear. America is divided and the current two-party system has failed us. The fact that we only have a two-party system shows that we have failed politically. What is needed is a refresh of ideas, of procedure, of people. What if there is a third option? A legitimate third party. A Malliard party. Ass, Elephant, Duck. Is Jim planning a 2024 run? While no formal announcement for a Whitehouse run will be made o

  • Live Calls Social Media 2020

    18/11/2020 Duración: 01h00s

11172020This week on The Malliard Report Jim welcomes some of the best guests…the listeners. This week it is a live call-in show, and the range of diversity of topics discussed is about as wide as they come. Everything from when is too early to put up your Christmas Tree, to what the future of Hollywood looks like in Covid riddled world. So sit back, buckle in, and don’t feel bad for indulging in that cheesy movie that you claim you only have on for background noise, but you actually are watching, and you are wondering if the big city girl that moved to the small town will fall in love with the hunky scrooge and Christmas will be saved. This time of year, there is a phenomenon that occurs and its origins are still a mystery. Hallmark movies. How did they grow to the popularity that they have reached? How did a few movies with a handful of B list celebrities turn into a full-scale studio and channel takeover? Unless you live under a rock in a remote location, or have not had a TV with cable for more than decade

  • Live Calls October 2020

    06/10/2020 Duración: 01h00s

10062020It’s the first Tuesday of the month and that could only mean one thing. It is live call time! This week on The Malliard Report the featured guests are the listeners of the show and nothing is more of a wild card than a live call show. With no shortage of lively discussion and enough fodder topics in the world right now, this is another great episode. It is pretty evident that ESPN has ditched its original mantra of “Stick to sports.” With the constant coverage of the issues that we see bombarding the headlines of regular media, it really only seems natural to for it to seep into other outlets. The medium that has been used to escape the everyday chaos has become the everyday chaos. With this, comes the question that should the athletes use outlets such as ESPN and sporting events as a public platform for a cause? The saying that is often muttered is “shut up and dribble” but is this okay? What weight does their view carry in relation to others? Is it all just bread and circuses that is being perpetuate

  • Live Calls September 2020

    01/09/2020 Duración: 01h00s

09012020Four months ago, we as a nation bore witness to a situation that most (that live outside major disaster areas) have never encountered before. A time were simply going out for essentials was a complete crapshoot to see if you were able to get lunch meat or toilet paper. As chaos slowly subsided, we have seen shelves once again stocked back to their almost normal levels, but is this history soon to repeat itself? With constant forewarnings of production shortages or flat out stoppages, no workers, supply chain disintegration, the ripple effect may continue to happen for quite some time. Another wave of shortages is being doomed and gloom in recent media rumblings and we can only hope that these are pessimistic media spins and not the prelude to another Mad Max-style world at our local Piggly Wiggly. This week on The Malliard Report Jim opens the phone lines for the fan-favorite live calls; and this week is certainly a mixed bag of hot button topics. From the grumblings of future food shortages to school

  • John Carman

    12/08/2020 Duración: 01h00s

It seems as if every time that Jim has this week’s guest on the show, the world seems to be falling apart. One could argue that the world is always falling apart, but inevitably things take a more turbulent turn just prior John’s arrival. A “pandemic” rages on, sexual predators running on ballot tickets, anarchy in the Pacific North West, UFOs, and so much more. This week, Malliard alum and favorite John Carman joins the show to give rapid-fire answers on a number of topics that dominate our twenty-four-hour news cycles today.A long term veteran of law enforcement and seeing a career that has spanned across several decades, John Carman has served as a member of The Secret Service (protecting the President, First Family, and many other prominent heads of state), worked as a San Diego Police officer, US Mint Police (protecting gold bullion at the US Federal Depository in San Francisco), and as an agent for the US Customs and Border Patrol. While John holds an esteemed career, this is not where his notoriety com

  • Live Calls on Education

    04/08/2020 Duración: 01h00s

08042020Speaking from a personal stance, the fifth of July was always one of the most disappointed days of the year as a kid. You are more than likely still just coming down off the excitement from the day prior: awesome food, friends, and a night of blowing stuff up. Then it happens, your mom asks you to go to the store with her and BAM! Right at the front door was a huge reminder that those long summer nights are but a fleeting moment. Three simple words that neckbreakingly snapped kids back to reality…Back…To…School. This year as we cautiously make our way into that season things look a lot different. With more questions than answers, and everyone in a fog of confusion, we look to the fall with timid reluctance expecting another proverbial beat down.To pull it away from the not so pleasant future, let’s take a moment to focus on happier past. We all have those moments through our educational careers that stuck with us, shaped us into who we are today, or pushed us into a direction that we never knew possib
