Another Not Guilty

The case is notoriously known as the capital case trial of Nikolas Cruz, the Parkland Shooter.  This is our 100th episode btw.   Our special guests are Casey Secor, one of the attorney, and Katie O'Shea, the mitigation specialist.  This episode is exceptionally compelling and insightful.  Enjoy.  

Our guest is a public defender from Sacramento.  His client has 6 children with 6 different women and one of them put a case on him.  Listen as Kyle H shares the tale of navigating the criminal system to achieve not guilty for his client.  Enjoy.

This particular not guilty is told by Matt Kellegrew from the Nevada City Public Defender's office.  It involves a domestic issue that was investigated by officers who were married to each other ... doesn't get anymore small town than that.  Also comedian Ashley Ray join us as a special co-host.  

Actually what makes this episode special and unique is that this particular not guilty is told from. the perspective of a prosecutor who claims the not guilty was a result of jury nullification.  Do you agree?

Season 5 Finale stars Brady Sullivan, a 30 year veteran of the Los Angeles Public Defender's office, who shares the tale of his last jury trial of his career which involved an officer who was fatally shot while executing a search warrant by his client who sincerely and reasonably believed it was a member of the Mongols biker "club" who was breaking into his home.  

This not guilty features two public defenders from Detroit who's client was charged with shooting and killing his own mother with a shotgun.  But hey it's not guilty for a reason, right?  Multiple suspects and lazy sloppy detective work might've had something to with that.
