  • Zen & the Art of Free Agency

    26/03/2021 Duración: 01h18min

What's up everyone? It's Friday, and we hope that's enough to have you in a good mood as we cruise towards the weekend. If not, we hope our podcast will do the trick for you all. Unfortunately though, it's yet another week of inactivity for the Ravens as far as making additions go, specifically of the pass catching variety. Since we've last recorder, JuJu Smith-Schuster and T.Y. Hilton have turned down offers from Baltimore to remain with their respective teams, and Sammy Watkins has turned into the de facto final legitimate target for Baltimore to bring into the building. We have plenty of that, and a ton else on free agency and all that's transpired that we hope brings you guys some more patience and clarity. We also took Twitter questions, including some great ones such as NFL all name-team, most chill Ravens of all time, plenty of FA and draft stuff, and much more. We hope you guys enjoy today's pod, and stay tuned for Tuesday's Beatdown Big Board episode where we'll be breaking down the safety position o

  • Beatdown Big Board: Offensive Line

    23/03/2021 Duración: 44min

What's up guys? Happy Tuesday, and happy podcast! The guys are back on the airwaves today to keep the Beatdown Big Board rolling, today taking a look at the big boys in the trenches, along the offensive line. With Spenny leading the discussion this week, the fellas dive into prospects from schools big and small, and break down which guys they feel might be a good fit in Baltimore who have already made a big move to revamp their line in the Kevin Zeitler signing. At the end of the show, the guys put together a list of four names to shoot out to a poll for you all to vote on, concerning just who exactly that perfect fit it is. Stay tuned for that, and some great analysis as we keep forging on into the offseason and towards the draft. Talk to you all again later in the week! • Free Agency... Rant session

    19/03/2021 Duración: 56min

What's up guys? We hope that everyone is having a great end to their week as March Madness descends upon us in glorious fashion. Jake and Spencer certainly are not having one, as free agency has also made it's way into the picture, and the Ravens haven't quite met their expectations or desires for what they've wanted to see them do (at least not entirely). After some banter regarding the tournament (and Impractical Jokers, for some strange reason), the guys get into a full, hour long discussion (and at times rant) about where they think the Ravens are falling short philosophically. Regardless of where you come down on how things have gone for Baltimore so far, you'll be sure to agree and disagree with some of what is said, as a lot is covered, but in this particular case, the guys are wearing their emotions on their sleeves and hope you appreciate that at the very least. Either way, it proved to be a nice therapy session for both of them, and we hope you guys see it that way, even if you don't entirely enjoy

  • Free Agency Primer

    11/03/2021 Duración: 01h06min

What's up everyone? The guys are back in studio on this fine Thursday to discuss a hot topic on everyone's mind as near it's official opening date: Free agency. Plenty of free agency news has already come across the wire, and some of it even pertains to the Ravens, a team who isn't always the most active come this time of year. Things may be different this year though, as Baltimore has some needs to fill and would like to do them as the window on Lamar Jackson's rookie deal is set to close within the next year or so. With that, Jake and Spencer figured they'd give you guys the primer for it to get you ready for the positions Eric DeCosta and the front office may want to address and how they'll do it. They did so by looking at the team position by position and pointing out many of the different options that are available on the market for the team to go and sign. It's a comprehensive, hour long deep dive that hopefully will provide you guys with plenty of info, and in that respect, we hope you really enjoy it.

  • Beatdown Big Board: EDGE

    09/03/2021 Duración: 01h26min

What is up everyone? We hope you guys are excited for something new and something fun on today's show, the debut of our new draft related series "Beatdown Big Board." Each and every week, Jake and Spencer are hopping in the studio to bring you all the 2021 NFL Draft deep dive that you want and deserve. Approaching it from the perspective on two guys that take a crash course on the position and then review the players through the lens of an archetype they decide on, the guys take a look at who they like, who they may rather pass on, and group together good fits for the Ravens. At the end of each show, they'll narrow down their favorites to four guys that they like as the "perfect" prospect for the Ravens at that position, and shoot out a poll that allows you (the listener) to vote on. The top two at each position will eventually be seeded into a tournament just ahead of the draft to decide on the Ravens final "perfect" prospect to take. We're expecting this to be an extremely fun and interactive process for yo

  • March Madness

    05/03/2021 Duración: 01h49min

What's up guys? The boys are back, and in studio (that's right, in person, in the stu) for this Friday mailbag episode. While there isn't a ton to discuss as far as Ravens news goes, we of course can always count on you, the listener, to provide us with some content in the mailbag. We have plenty to discuss in that regard, with great questions ranging from free agent targets, to draft talk, and much more. We hope you enjoy, and we also hope you guys are ready for some true draft content, which we'll be unveiling next Tuesday in the form of our Beatdown Big Board, starting with EDGE Rushers - be sure to stay tuned for that. • JudonGate

    25/02/2021 Duración: 01h33min

What's up everyone? The boys are back in studio this week to discuss a whirlwind of Ravens and league news on what should otherwise be a fairly dead period on the NFL calendar. To kick things off they analyzed yet another loss on the Ravens coaching staff in running backs coach Matt Weiss (and take a look at his replacement Craig Ver Steeg), and also some new faces entering the mix in the analytics department. The fellas then discuss the news that Ben Roethlisberger will be returning to the Steelers and what that news means for the rest of the AFC North (Spoiler alert: they're not too concerned). They finally dive into what everyone is here to talk about which is all the happenings on Ravens Twitter these days between various different players, starting with Willie Snead and Dez Bryant's comments which many speculated to be targeted shots at Greg Roman. This of course was all capped off by a bizarre spat between Matt Judon and ESPN reporter Jamison Hensley which they dive into as well. What a week... and it's

  • Friday Mailbag

    19/02/2021 Duración: 01h40min

What's up guys? We hope you all had a great week and are ready to talk some football... and some other stuff. There's not a ton in the news this week as far as the Ravens go, but there are a few pieces to touch on nationally, namely the Carson Wentz trade. After that, we've got a free wheeling mailbag where we touch on your questions, that can be about anything this time of year (and really anytime of year, we won't judge). Tonight's will include some draft talk, free agency chatter, fast food rankings, and a ton more. We hope you guys enjoy and will talk to you again on Monday. • John Feinstein

    16/02/2021 Duración: 01h05min

What's up everyone? Jake here, bringing you a little bit of a different episode for today. Upon recently re-reading the excellent book "Next Man Up" by John Feinstein (@JFeinsteinBooks), I decided to reach out to John to see if he'd be interested in joining me to talk about it, and he graciously agreed to do so. For any who aren't familiar, the book is a chronicling of the 2004 Baltimore Ravens season from the perspective of players, front office executives, and owner Steve Bisciotti. John gets into how he initially made contact with Bisciotti, what his process was like in terms of preparing to follow and document an NFL team's entire season, loads of insight on players, coaches, and figures from that team that you may not have heard before, and much more. I'd highly recommend reading the book, but even if you haven't, this is a great listen that will educate and entertain anyone who like to look back on Ravens history. With all that said, enjoy, and have yourselves a great week. We'll talk to you again very

They also break down the blockbuster trade involving Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford as the Rams go all in on the former Lions star quarterback as the key to finally getting over the hump and winning the Super Bowl.
