My dreams and hallucination continued for a full week. I woke up to see the nurse (her name tag said Nikayla) every now and then. After the seven days, I get randomly pulled out of a dream where I was blowing up a hot air balloon. I see Nikayla, her black hair tied up in a ponytail, her hand over the lever near my bed. We’re in the giant kitchen. “Why did you pull me out?” I asked. “Because,” she replied, “It’s time.” “Time for what?” I ask as her hand grazes a new lever I never saw before. She replies matter of a factly, “Why Drew, it’s time to kill you, of course.” Then she pulled the lever...

The title is no lie! I made a podcast with Josh and Kelly Taylor! Shoutout to Rebekah Martin, Mary Isabella, messy momma, Tyler Minix, Micah Barlow, and Josh, Kevin, and Kelly! Love y'all! My birthday was fantastic and you guys (and others too ;D) made me feel so loved. I worked really hard on this podcast over 2 days and I hope you enjoy it!

I felt like I was swimming in a sea of absolute nothingness. When would this nightmare ever end? I couldn't even tell what was real anymore. Had the fight in the library been real? What about nurse? I tried to move, to hear, to see, to do ANYTHING! But there was nothing. Then, suddenly, I heard a voice. But this didn't sound like the voice of the old lady, it sounded more, well, REAL. "Drew, are you awake?" I tried to sit up to see the speaker, but it was useless. It took all of my willpower just to open my eyes slightly. The light of the room seemed to blind me at first, but I managed to squint enough to make out a silhouette of the woman in nurse's clothes I had seen earlier. She leaned forward and I could see her features now. This wasn't a woman. This was a girl. she couldn't have been any older than me. She looked me in the eyes, her face conveying her concern. "Drew," she whispered. "Don't be scared. We've been waiting for you for a long time. We need your help."

Several doctors bustled about in my peripheral vison. I lay on a metal operating table, hooked up to a massive machine that sat right under the big screen. "WAIT WHAT!?" My heart starts thumping inside my chest. I turn my head and find at least 10,000 people. As I scanned the crowd I found men, women, children, some had rips in their clothing, all had the same look of pure fear on their faces. Not a smile to be found, just eyes staring at the screen, at me. "Wh- who are you?" I stutter, "And who am I?" An old lady walks up to me and says, "We are the last of the human race, and as for you," She chuckles slightly, "Drew, you're our only hope." She pulls a lever on the machine and walks back to the others. I scream, "SEE YA ON THE FLIPSIDE GRANDMA!" and fall into my thirsty earth. Laughing gas is funny, don't you think?

I woke up, got out of my bed, and killed a box of Lucky Charms. "Thanks Mom!" I exclaim with enthusiasm at no one in particular. I suddenly have an aching desire to play some basketball. I walk outside the house and into the Golden State Warrior's 30,000 seat stadium. After 4.318 seconds a basketball appears into my hand, "Well it's about time". I chuck the ball at a perfect 61.5 degree angle towards the hoop. "Wait a minute," I think, "This isn't me. This isn't me at all." I never did see whether I made that shot...
