Crossing Darkness

Set in the year 1999 our Mage the Ascension game focused on the Technocracy construct in Madison Wisconsin called Technogate.  This construct uses an encapsulated black hole to travel through Space and other Dimensions. The members of Technogate Team 42 are Phaedra, Tycho, Robert, and Malakai.   This episode Technogate Team 42 has escaped the realm of Paradox but now find themselves standing trial for their hacking of the server!

The members of Technogate Team 42 are Phaedra, Tycho, Robert, and Malakai.   This episode Technogate Team 42 has entered a realm of Paradox after botching a procedure they were working on while inside the Digital Web.  Now they must find a way out or forever be stuck!

Now from inside the spaceship MMORPG they plan to hack the Digital Web and get them the admin access they need to easily access the node with in.  The plan is not to take down the node this time, but to use it to speak with Tycho's Father Samson.

Welcome to Movies of Darkness, today we will be watching Hackers and trying to interpret the events in the story from the perspective of the World of Darkness role playing games. We have designed this to be a commentary you can listen to while watching Hackers and have added a prompt so you know when to hit the play button. The main thing we will be doing is trying to explain how the events on screen would be interpreted according to a session of a world of darkness game. For example, we might say that a certain event would require a roll of some sort. Or, if we encounter a character, we’ll be speculating on what supernatural they might be and what powers they might have. Also, while we watch, we’ll be filling out a character sheet for Zero Cool.
