  • Fauxpening Weekend SSTxRSR Crossover Episode

    02/05/2020 Duración: 01h04min

We've forgotten how to make a podcast less than an hour long now. Wow, so this weekend Sandra and Claire attended the Chicago Local 134 fauxpening weekend tailgate, crushed a few Revolution brews, and called their friends Katelyn (@BestKabest) and Tyler (@tdn_) of Portland's Rose City Review and Red Smoke Radio — to talk through a game that was actually played: Chicago v Portland on April 20th of 2019. Only now in the light of the present can one enjoy the absolute madness of the past. It's not new soccer, but we hope you guys enjoy.

  • I wore my Yeezy's to the Grocery Store: A Conversation with Emily Boyd and Zoey Goralski

    20/04/2020 Duración: 42min

Friends! Homies! Colleagues! Happy addended opening weekend to the 2020 NWSL season. It's not quite what we hoped for, but we here at Southside Trap decided not to let self-isolation keep us from one of the things a virus can't stop: making Red Stars content for you. In today's episode, we talked to Emily Boyd (@eboydsfood) and Zoey Goralski (@zoeygoralski) (with a brief interview crashing from Bianca St. Georges @bianacastgeorges) about what they were doing this time last year (playing soccer), how the arc of their year has been altered, but also mostly about quarantine fits and posting and content and Michael Jordan. This was a really fun conversation with some great Red Stars. Hope y'all enjoy.

    18/04/2020 Duración: 46min

Hello friends can I offer you a nice podcast in this trying time This week, Claire and Sandra sat down again with John D Halloran (@JohnDHalloran) - a Chicago Outfit exclusive! - to talk through 2015, the year where everything began to change for the Chicago Red Stars. They discuss the 2015 draft class, World Cup position shenanigans, and a game against Sky Blue that featured a wonderful goal by one Danny Colaprico. This is a podcast but it's also a hang and we hope you guys enjoy the good vibes for a little bit.

  • Days of Red Stars Past: All about the Benedictine - Pt. Two

    06/04/2020 Duración: 55min

Happy Friday y'all, here's a podcast. In this second part of the episode, we talk through Chicago vs Boston in August of 2014, the turf monster, possibly the worst miss in NWSL history, and how the Red Stars began to change into a newer, more sophisticated team going into 2015. We also have a Southside Trap first: We got John Halloran on the dang pod! He talks about his experiences in Lisle, how turf changes the way a team plays, and how Benedictine was nice, actually. Next time, we're likely to traverse into the days of 2015, when everything really began to change for the better. Stay tuned.
