Maria shares how emotions are not good and bad, and helps reflect on things that are helpful and not helpful to say when encountering someone in distress. Lastly, she highlights that most people are not therapists and therefore their role is to not try to be one, but encourage the person to connect with one.

November 24, 2019. Christ the King homily by Fr. Matt Lowry about how Jesus is Lord of all things. However, what Jesus wants most of all is for us to respond and allow Him to be Lord of our lives. This allows us to live in freedom and joy for Him and His kingdom.

November 17, 2019. 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time homily by Fr. Matt Lowry about how God allows things to happen so that our lives can give testimony to our faith to our world. Christians live differently, which allows the light of Christ to shine and draw others in.

November 10, 2019. 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time homily by Fr. Matt Lowry about how we have reason to hope in Christ, who was raised from the dead and has a plan to redeem all things. Whether here on earth, and for sure in heaven, God has a plan to raise us to new life, which gives us hope for the future and what He is doing in our lives.

November 3, 2019. 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time about how God calls us out of love, even though we are not worthy of it. He moves us from being sinners to sharing in his mission, which causes us to grow in holiness.

October 27, 2019. 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time homily by Fr. Matt Lowry about how the prayer the lowly pierces the clouds and raises up to God. We are invited not to fall into the potential sin of the pharisees, but bring our sinfulness to Jesus Christ to receive salvation.

October 20, 2019. 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time homily by Fr. Matt Lowry about perseverance in prayer. The Lord wants to help us and what can help us to grow in that relationship is to develop a daily prayer routine, use Scripture in prayer and surround ourselves with faithful friends.
