Walking is the most common form of exercise - but why is it so good for us? TV exercise expert and DCU's Professor Niall Moya joined Dermot and Dave to discuss the benefits of getting your steps in.

This week our Cathal has been set the task of walking from his hometown of Cashel all the way to the Today FM offices in Dublin in just two and a half days. Dermot and Dave checked in with him on day two of his voyage, when he must race against the clock to make it from Ballybrittas in Laois to the Curragh in Kildare.

In the latest installment of Challenge Cathal, the lads set the man himself the task of walking from his hometown of Cashel to Marconi House. He will cover 150km in just two and a half days and race against the clock to reach a predetermined check point by sundown every evening. Dermot and Dave checked in as Cashel sent him off and again from the road.

This installment of Dave's World was inspired by none other than our Dermot. It involved Sean Reidy jumping from chairs and Dave recollecting the history of the famous Apache leader Geronimo.

In June 2017, life for Kevin Hayes was only going one way. He was in the write up phase of his PhD, had some amazing job offers and was having the craic with all the ones he loved.
