Who Was Historical Cult Leader Jim Jones? Jim Jones is the perfect example of how a leader doesn't have a merit floor. He was one of the most persuasive and skilled narcissists as a cult leader that we have seen for a long time. Jim Jones, byname of James Warren Jones, was an American cult leader who promised his followers a utopia in the jungles of South America after proclaiming himself the messiah of the Peoples Temple, a San Francisco-based evangelist group. He ultimately led his followers into a mass suicide, which left more than 900 dead and came to be known as the Jonestown Massacre on November 18, 1978, represented the largest number of American civilian casualties in a single non-natural event. Fred Hampton Was A Leader In The National Association For The Advancement Of Colored People (NAACP), Leading Their Youth Council Of The Organization's West Suburban Branch He Came To Prominence In Chicago As Chairman Of The Illinois Chapter Of The Black Panther Party, And Deputy Chairman Of The National BPP  On The Evening Of December 3, 1969, William O’neal, Who Was Employed By The Fbi To Infiltrate The Bpp, Slipped A Powerful Sleeping Drug Into Hampton’s Drink Then Left.  Officers Were Dispatched To Raid His Apartment. They Stormed In And Opened Fire, Killing His Security Guard. Then They Opened Fire On Hampton’s Bedroom Where He Laid Unconscious From The Drug With His Sleeping, Almost Nine-month-pregnant Fiancee.
