When our community faces affliction, do we lead by consensus or do we lead by conviction? Ephesians 4:7-16

Life is a battle for scarce resources and it’s always us versus them, zero-sum. The ends justify the means. Politics is war. Ideas are combat. It’s kill or be killed... Tribalism is community for lonely narcissists.” David Brooks

In this session, we look at the last half of emotional intelligence: social-awareness and relationship-management. We break that down into communication and care. I hope this is helpful!

Looking at Ephesians 5:22-33, we learn that God has called men to be both woundable and responsible.

4:00 - We aren’t fully alive because we are full of fear. 5:03 - Fear believes the lie, “I won’t have enough.” 5:53 - Outwardly, you may be seen as clear, convinced and clever… 6:30 - Broken cistern of security and survival. 7:35 - explaining 5s, 6s, 7s 14:15 - You experience fear because you crave contentment.

Walking through Ephesians 5:29-33, we look at how emotions play an integral role in marriage. It seems many of us have an improper view of emotions. Some of us deaden our emotions while others of us are driven by our emotions. How has Jesus offered us a third way of living?

In this workshop, we talk about 2s, 3s and 4s. However, it's applicable for all of us because God has called all of us to operate with our heart. I hope this brings you closer to Jesus. #JesusIsBetter

You'll have no problem telling when a story is clear and compelling. In this message, we examine why the gospel is the most clear and compelling message ever told.

Looking at Proverbs 4, we learn that our minds are deceived through destructive ideas and distorted images... thankfully, Jesus comes to redeem us and reveal a new reality that is only found in Christ.

Looking at Deuteronomy 30, we see why God values our affections more than our actions.
