In Luke 17, Jesus heals 10 lepers, but only one man returns to give thanks to Jesus. Are you one of the nine, or are you the one?

What is the legacy that you are leaving behind? The answer to today's hard question is: "Yes...It will continue" but you get to decide "what" will continue. Deuteronomy 6:5-7 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Does God love us? You can find the answer in Psalm 48. God's love is on display as the triumph of God. Look around, there is evidence everywhere, consider and see all the evidence around and remember the victories God has given you in the past.

God uses suffering to open us to a greater and larger view of who he is, to see his glory, and to see his love instead of wrath, instead of "or else" punishment. Pastor Pat builds off of last Sunday's message by contrasting the last verse of Malachi with the last verse of Revelation. Revelation 22:11 "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen."

Sometimes we may wonder, "What’s the point of serving God when things don’t seem to go my way?" The promise from Malachi 3-4, is he does hear, he remembers, he treasures, and eventually he will heal us eternally. Persevere until that day!

Jesus challenged us in Matthew 15 with the same words in Isaiah 29 saying our hearts need to be engaged, not just what we say or how we act. Don't let your serving become duty. Take time to nourish your heart by spending time with the Lord in your own personal life.

The value of the gift signifies the value of the relationship. Is the offering we are giving to God our best? Isaiah 29:13 "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught."
