Special Ed uses his charm, creative delivery and flow to describe the sights and sounds of Flatbush throughout his career. In addition to his performing career, Special Ed owns and runs Dolla Cab Lab, a recording studio in Brooklyn. The studio's name is inspired by non other than the Dollar vans that run though Flatbush. That's a neighborhood in San Francisco known locally for pimp culture, jazz music and dope ass rappers. I wrote my first song at age 7 and by the age of 12, I wiggled my way into being an intern (or a "Go-For") at a popular recording studio in the Bay Area called Bayview Studios. I was a fly-on-the-wall during sessions for legendary artists like Rappin' 4-Tay, RBL Posse and Suga Free, to name a few.
