Darien "Holleywood" Holley started out as an Artist from Washington DC, to becoming a well known Songwriter/Producer in the DMV Area. In this episode, we politick with rap duo That Nation.Artist Bio - LiL BiLL Swavey & Dezzy-D came together as individual artists in the beginning with LiL BiLL Swavey reigning in from Houston Texas and Dezzy-D holding it in Opelousas, Louisiana. The duo started together at the age of 16 each as freshman at Opelouas High School. It went from talent shows to bigger shows around the city and soon around the state. Artist Bio Rapper, writer and producer DeeDay (aka Danny Rogers) was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 1, 1989. DeeDay grew up on the West Side of New Orleans with his older sister and parents. He saw poverty, drug deals and crime in his neighborhood but DeeDay was determined to choose a different path. As he entered his teen years, DeeDay used writing and rapping as an escape. He says, “Music takes me to another place.” He began engaging in rap battles and realized that he could hold the attention of large groups with his words. Growing up in Nigeria, EK realized he was always an outgoing child, able to articulate himself through his words. At the age of 10, EK moved to the United States. V8 was born and raised in Pasadena, CA and got involved in the street life as a teen, when he became a member of the Pasadena Denver Lane Bloods. At 19 he was hit with a 2 year prison sentence and some time after his release starting focusing on his music full-time. About 3 years ago he caught the attention of Mitchy Slick who took interest in his musical style and made him an official member of Tha Wrongkind. Since then, V8 has put out 4 or 5 mixtapes, the most recent being "Pasadena State of Mind." Within the last year or so he became a certified music engineer, so on top of rap he also produces, mixes, and masters a lot of his own music. His next release under Wrongkind Records will be "Under the Influence," which is due out July 14th.
