What's up guys?  Ready to nerd out for a bit?  Well I'm your Muta Fucka!!  Lets do this!   On the Report today - Movie news - Infintiny war trailer and Deathstroke solo movie news Comics on Review this week- Star Wars 39 - More fallout from Rouge One.  Seeing the effects of a devestated Jedha weighing on Luke and Leia is cool.  But i really want the story to pick up.  Art is still a bummer.  Why cant they put a STUD on this book?! smh.  Soild effort  7.7 Ninjak 1 - Valiant Comics giving the Ninja Programme and Origin story.  Great art and action, and all the spy stuff is dope also.  Great book for people coming on.  8.1 PICK OF THE WEEK Doomsday Clock 1 - Super Star creative Team of Geoff Johns and Gary Frank would be hard to beat on "Wonder Twins Go to New York to join the Theater" Story.  Now they are giving you a Watchman Sequel?  Yeah..Nuff said right?  8.5

What's up guys?!  Have i told what a great time it is to be a nerd?  Well it is!!  This week is a true testiment to that fact.  We had Thor Ragnarok open on Thursday and before that, we had some REALLY good comics hit the shelves.  I'm here to break it all down for you in true Blazing Defender Report Fashion! On the show today -  Spoiler Free review of Thor Ragnarok.  What worked for me and what didnt.  My full review will come on our sister show Meatheads on Movies.  If you havent checked that yet this will be a good one. Comics on Review - Batman 34 - Tom King decided that the Dark Knight needed a wife.  Lets see how that pans out. Batman White Knight 2 - Sean Murphy trying to prove that he is as talented a writer as an artist.  Is he? Astonishing X Men 5 - Charles Soule has made this book my favorite X book on the market.  Is it this week? Darth Vader 7 - Soule is at again taking on the Sith Lord one more time.  Is this Vol as good as the First? Batman The Devastator - Yet another of The Dark Knight

Comic Scores Mister Miracle 3 - What the FUCK is going on here?!  I'm not sure but i'm still digging Tom Kings tale of MM.  Lets hope the story get a little less confusing.  7.9 Dark Nights Metal 3 - The weakest in the series so far for me.  The art is fantastic and there where so really cool scenes with the Oblivion Bar and characters giving the metal horns, but the big twist at the end of this was really rushed and made NO sense.  I know Snyder is better then this, lets hope he shows it.  7.5 Here's Negan TPB - Holy fuckity fuck!  It's everything you want in an origin story.  Everything you wanted to know why Negan is the way he is.  Is he any diffe

Today's show! - I'm talking about my first thoughts of the Defenders series on Netflix.  Spoiler free. - I talk about how i feel about the current season of Game of Thornes.  Spoiler alert! ( I think it AWESOME! ). The Comics on review are- Wolverine and All new Wolverine Generations 1 ( jeez was that title long enough? )- Bone breaking action with a very simple but good story.  I was very suprised about how good this was.  Reminded me of the old Giant size team up days. Score-8.5 Star Wars 34 - Jason Aaron ends his fantasic run on SW with some single stories about our heroes.  Sana Starros, or Sana Solo if you like, gets center stage here and Lights it up. Great single issue! Score 8.7 Astonishing X - Men 2 - Feels good to have awesome X book back on the racks.  Charles

Welcome guys to The SDCC 2017 Episode!  I'm gonna go over all the shit i thought was cool and news worthy!  Set back, grab a brew, and lets nerd-out together for a bit! Comic news- Mark Waid and Chris Samnee will be writing Captain America after this turd of Secret Empire comes to a close ( thank Odin ).  Love Waid Samnee work on Black Widow and Daredevil, so I'm extra Pumped for this one!  They say they will be" getting Cap back to Basics", Well they have their work cut out for them after the shit Nick Spencer has done to the character.   The DC Rebirth Panel announced that Frank Miller and John Romtia Jr will Doing a Superman: Year One story. The Meatheads are back to give their comic book perspective on the Iron Fist Netflix Series.  Sam and i have over 60 years of Comic book experince ( Yeah I know, we are old! ).  We usually try to focus on the positive aspects of our review but with this shiney turd Marvel has thrown at us, it was really hard to do. In this episode we  talk about the differences from the comic book character then the one portrayed by Vinn Jones.  We provide some comic history on the actual villians of the city of Kun Lun acually had in the comics as opposed to the ones in this series.  We also talked about what did work, and how they just missed on some amazing opportunities.   My listeners also get a chance to voice their opinion since this was recorded on Facebook Live, and some acually defend why they liked it!  So kick back, take a break from all the other nonsense on the interwebs and enjoy the mayhem that only the Meatheads on Movies crew can give you!  Enjoy!
