In response to this Jesus addressed the assumption that one could make it into God's Kingdom automatically based on his ethnicity, heritage or religious activities. Jesus taught a lesson on responsibility. Every person is responsible for accepting the invitation to receive Christ as their King and every Christian is also responsible for getting the invitations out.
