2023 is here. We are officially back and raring to go. The 3 day test is over, reliability was sound from all teams as the clocked the Bahrain circuit. The field pecking order looks relatively set but as we know testing means little in the scope of a season and anything can change.  Mclaren came out swinging, at themselves. The papya team admitted targets have been missed and drag levels are high. Lando left punching walls while Ricciardo sat counting his dollars. Is 2023 the bottom of the pile for this once mighty team?  Rebull look good, scary good. With flow vis paint wrapped to perfection, you would be silly to bet against Max for a 3rd title. There are 3 certainties in life, death, taxes and a show stopper on Brazil. The penultimate round delivered a new pole man and a new race winner. The errors cane thick and fast this weekend. Ferrari absolutely botched qualifying on a whole new level as Leclerc was hung out to dry when it needed to be wet. All jokes aside there must be changes at Maranello in the off season. Stroll was in the firing line just like the driver's around him as his hyper aggressive move on Seb raised an eyebrow or too, there are questions being asked of his over aggression, hard to believe it's Gasly closest to a race ban. And Max played the villain for the first time in 2022, a shocker in the sprint, a squeeze on Hamilton and refusal to play ball with Perez, with the belief that he parked it on purpose in Monaco. Max needs to be careful, he has a rear gunner and he has titles to boot, but do Rebull have the skills to tame a Dutch lion. The second title is tied up as the raging Bulls take the constructors. A domination from the Milton Keys crew, a sign of times to come? We saw the old guard taking up the fight this weekend as Seb wound back the clock with an almost podium, with only 3 more outings to go has he called time too early, or is he bowing out in the right way? Hamilton was criticised for his seasons start as young George took charge at his new team, but with setup work early on he is now reaping the rewards, too little too late, but this may finally be the step all Merc fans have been waiting for. And Alonso did Alonso things, a cannon into the wall, a shattered chassis, two wheels, no worries. But the FIA dropped the ball again and hit him with a 30 second post race penalty. A double world champion is crowned, albeit in the most bizarre circumstances. A champion deserving of his crown as we now turn our attention to the battle for second place. It's only the start for Verstappen though, how many more titles does he have in him? We returned to Singapore for a sweaty session after 2 years away and it tested the limits of everyone. Max had a shocker and showed that he is human after all, in what could have been the deciding weekend he let one slip but hey, even champions make mistakes. Alpine and McLaren had opposing fortunes, in a year were Alpine have been the surprise for all the right reasons, and McLaren for all the wrong reasons, the papaya people edge ahead. Who will come out on top in 2022. And budgets what the word of the weekend, allegations of both major and minor overspending, teams in a spin, fans in a frenzy but after all is said an done will it be a case of honest mistakes or one of the defining moments in all of F1 history with the potential for titles to be on the line. A triple header that ended at the temple of Max. For the first time we head to Singapore with the likelihood of the title fight being done and dusted. The break is over and we are back, 9 races in 13 weeks but as we returned to a picturesque Spa the racing was second and the silliest of silly season was in pull swing. Instagram reels are not our friends when Ricciardo announced that he will depart McLearen a year earlier, bit with young Oscar alleged to have signed on this one has suddenly become a whole lot messier. Mick has cut ties with Ferrari, Alonso has nabbed Sebs seat, Gasly is being courted and suddenly we have one hell of a mess. But who will be the winner by the time the music stops? It was a clinic like no other as Max put the first nail in Leclercs championship coffin, a case of what might have been. The big question now is when will the title fight be officially over? And the introduction of the power house Audi has sent a few teams scrambling, with Porsce set to join as well does this now pave the way for Andretti?
